Dermal Needling
Drastically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, hyper & hypo pigmentation, sun damage, Acne (levels 1-3) and overall skin texture and tone with our Dermal Needling treatments.
Dermal Needling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment resulting in smoother, thicker, tighter, more evened toned skin.
Controlled micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing process to activate the production of new collagen & elastin, strengthening of capillaries, and fresher, firmer, brighter skin. These newly produced micro-channels allow for deep delivery of active ingredients from Serums into the dermis enabling faster repair and controlled mini-resurfacing of the epidermis.

Why Choose Dermal Needling?
Stimulates your body’s own collagen production in the dermal layer which is where collagen resides and is formed.
Results are natural, not fake or plastic looking
No Foreign substances are injected
Skin becomes thicker – Collagen and Elastin increase up to 1000%
The healing period is short 1-2 days
Effective on pre- and post-menopausal women
Very low % of hyper-pigmentation! Safe for all skin tones.
Changes may occur in dilated blood vessels that may cause them to disappear
Less expensive and more effective than laser treatments.
What Does It Feel Like?
Using our Digital CIT Pen and medical grade needle cartridge we will follow a pattern of 3 passes over the skin to create evenly spaced puncture wounds. The depth of the needles will vary depending on the skin concern we are trying to target.
We can apply a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort, however this may affect the efficacy of your treatments. We have a specific technique and work quickly to reduce the pain response triggered through the nerves in your skin, however you can expect to experience a little discomfort.
After your treatment your skin will be red, it will feel hot, tight and sensitive - the best way to compare the feeling is like having sunburn. This can last anywhere from 6 - 48 hours after your treatment.
Who Can Have Dermal Needling Treatments?
Microneedling is suitable for all skin types, and ideal candidates are those who wish to improve skin laxity, smooth lines and wrinkles, slow the onset of the ageing process or improve the appearance of scarring from acne, also helps to strengthen weakened capillary walls that cause diffused redness (rosacea).
Have active Cold Sores
Have taken Roaccutane/Accutane medication in the last 12 months
Have received Botox, or Dermal Fillers in the 2 weeks prior to treatment
Have received laser / fractional laser in the 2 weeks prior to treatment
Are Pregnant or Breastfeeding
If you are Diabetic (must have written approval from your doctor)
How many treatments should I have?
A series of 3 -6 treatments is usually recommended to achieve maximum results. As the results rely on kick-starting the body’s own collagen production, it can take 4-8 weeks before you start to fully see the benefits.
To achieve even better results we recommend using the cosmedical skincare prescribed by your skin therapist at home daily during your treatment programme.
How To Prepare For Dermal Needling?
Before starting a micro needling journey you will need to come and talk to one of our skin therapists to make sure this treatment is right for you.
A consultation using our Observ Skin Scanner will help us to create the appropriate plan for your as well as check the condition of your skin.
to prepare your skin for micro needling you will need to be on hydrating serums and mosisturisers, as well as prepping with an exfoliation treatment - such as Microdermabrasion, Hydro-dermabrasion or a Lactic Peel 2-3 weeks prior to your needling appointment to remove old, dry dead layers of skin and to encourage collagen stimulation prior so that optimum results from the needling treatment occur.
for best results and to ensure that your skin heals quickly after your treatment, making sure your skin is hydrated is important. Moisturising daily is essential - we also recommend our Juvenate B-hydrated Serum along side your moisturiser for ultimate results.
